My Dewitts w/ left side OC is on its way. I've heard that you can cut out parts of the shround to get more airflow through the cooling system. Anyone have a pic of where to cut? I'm sure I could "figure it out" but I dont' wantto destroy it.

Thanks Brian, that's what I tried to do. I hate computers and computers hate me. If it wasn't for cars and girls I wouldn't even look at a computer.
Graham, Airflow is always a good idea. I would do it!!

I have the mod above with my DRM/Ron Davis radiator. Maybe just to clarify a bit with my automotive engineer hat on, it is a benefit while moving. Sitting still, the stock configuration is better. I was not concerned because I already have more cooling capacity for stop & go driving with the DRM/RD rad.
Edit: Also it will take you forever with a dremel. Use a hole saw or uni-bit for the big chunks and then a air powered hack saw for the rest.

For full time track cars you will not need the factory fans. But it is a good idea to put a slim 10 inch fan or so. Just incase you are running hot in the paddock area. Or if they red flag and make you stop.

Didn't the early C5 (like 97) have shrouds with rubber flappers on them? If I remember correctly in 2001 when I installed the DRM radiator in my 97 I didn't have to cut the holes since most of them were already there and had rubber flaps over them. At speed the rubber flaps blew open and allowed air to pass through the shroud but when sitting still they closed and allowed the fan to pull air through the radiator. If so it might be useful to use an earlier shroud to get the benefits of both.

If you want to boost air flow, check out our SP015 package. That is a direct fit shroud with two Spal fans (3200 cfm) which double the factory unit.

What do you have in regard to a '96 C4 and how does the cfm of your C4 package compare to the airflow of the factory fans?
Thanks

SP461 Kit for an aftermarket dual core radiator &
SP462 kit for an original single row GM
Both double the stock air flow at 2760 cfm
