Being an exhaust valve, I'm thinking the edge is burnt and cracked. A chunk let loose doing the spring swap. either way if you can't get a borescope to see what's down in the cylinder, I'd pull the head and see what's up before further damage occurs.

Rubber mallet fixed it... letting it seat under spring pressure =)
