As my French is as up to date as my Chinese, I'll take your word for it. It's great to see Corvette getting more world exposure and exceptance

During the winter, the Luc Alphand Aventures had decided to go up of a category higher while passing of the GT2 than the GT1. This evolution was profitable since the TEAM took down superb a third place at the time of the 24 Hours of Mans. In parallel, the team concludes the countryside Mans Series since with a test of the term, it occupies the head of the classification. Consequently, the Luc Alphand Aventures decided to increase his investment in GT1 in 2007 with the acquisition of a second car, the victorious C6.R of the class' at the time of the 24 Hours of Mans 2006. Philippe Poincloux, the TEAM manager of the structure, confirmed this information on the official site.

“The end of August is always synonymous with new challenges, of new prospects… For the TEAM Luc Alphand Adventures, the re-entry 2006 will be marked by the acquisition of victorious Corvette C6R n°64 to the 24 H of Mans 2006!

While choosing to pass from the GT2 to the GT1 in 2006 with the victorious C5R to the 24 H of Mans 2004, we nourissions already the project to roll with a recent evolution of the Corvette, the C6R. To change category being already a large challenge for all the team, we had chosen to carefully make a transition. The excellent results of the TEAM as of the first year accelerate the things today, since our friend and partner the Baron Benjamin de Rothschild, collector and large expert of vehicles of competition, decided to help Luc Alphand again while taking part in the acquisition of the last 24 Hours victorious GT1 of Mans.

I am pleased thus to announce today that the TEAM LUC ALPHAND ADVENTURES will make roll 2 cars in 2007: on the one hand the C5R with which Luc Alphand, Jérome Policand and Patrice Goueslard signed excellent results in 2006 and the lately acquired C6R. With the program, the championship Mans Series and 24 Hours of Mans, race for which the TEAM will request an engagement. “

They love the Corvette in France. They've even adopted as one of their own because the word Corvette has French origins.

Pretty funny, eh? The biggest sports car in America is the (Louis) Chevrolet Corvette.

sounds like good news to me, maybe they'll get that A/C figured out for LeMans for us and show us how to do it, since they already had one on their C5R this year

Isn't the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo longer and wider?

I wasn't talking about the overall size of the car. I meant big as in prominance. The Corvette is the quintessential American sports car.

The reason why I thought that it was ironic was because a lot of the people that gravitate to the Corvette, partly because it's an American icon, also seem to hate the French. I thought that it was funny that such an iconic American car would have a completely French name.

BTW.. Has anyone ever seen someone try to get in and out of a Saleen S7 street car? It looks easier to get in and out of the Corvette C6.R.
