Default Tire Config for 01 Z

Hey fellas,

I know what tires i'm placing on my Z for Car Guy's but I need to know the widest tire I can get for the front and rear of my 01 Z. The rims are Stock Z06 rims 17X9.5 and 18X 10.5 so any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and they are DOT competition that I will be buying if that helps.

I run 275(f) and 305(r). You need to check the individual tire specs. for the min. wheel width the tire was designed for.

The hot setup is 295/315 in Hoosiers, FWIW. They're shorter than Kumhos.

Not to hijack thread but would this recommendation apply to an 02 Z06 as well? Also, are the Hoosiers track only tires or can they be used on the street as well?

If you can't use the Hoosiers on the street can anyone recommend a good street/track tire for someone getting started in HPDE and other track type events. I assume these are all 18" rims.

I am a newbie just getting started and would appreciate any advice I can get.

Thanks
