Default 275 35 18

Anyone try a 275 35 18 on a front C6 wheel? 18 X 8.5. I know Hoosier recommends a 9.5 min width wheel.

Can't speak directly for the 18" wheels, but I've run 275 tires on my stock 17" wagon wheels (17x8.5) with no problems now for several years. Works fantastic.

And, anecdotally, I think it helps on tire wear also. My setup is a compromise setup for autox and street (driven on the street a lot), and the camber is set at about -0.8 front, but I only have to flip my tires once to get completely even wear across the face.

That leads me to believe that the wider tire is acting like it's seeing more negative camber than it really is. That almost makes sense as well, since the outer portions of the contact patch are supposed to be pulled up when running on a wheel that's "too narrow."

Hope those last two paragraphs weren't confusing. If they are, throw 'em out.

HTH, and have a good one,
Mike
