Default Viper attack at VIR

Sorry if this has been shown before, but this is unreal... Enjoy the sounds of the vettes flying by as well...

And after watching that one, this one about 3 years old is hilarious also at VIR... Also timely for the Halloween season!

Both of those have been around for a while, but they are still fun to watch.

Are you sure?? That guy became a track junkie and started running like 30 events a year and is quite good now. Mazdadrivers usus his "incident" in their instructional classes now

Man that 2nd one had my stomach in knotts... I'd have been infuriated had that been me. Was it an error on his part or did the track officials screw up?

Not sure, but he was one car out of position so he pointed to grid worker to let the other car in front of him and then he planned on going. The grid worker took that as to release the entire 2nd line.

I would be mad as hell too but passing all those cars on the pace was completely unsafe! All of this being said, it's still hilarious!

Yes, it was an error on his part. From what I understand, when a grid official tells you to go, you go. The hell with everything else. It was a novice mistake I'm sure he won't make again.

Obviously, it was his fault for passing while on a pace lap. Live and learn.

they must have gridded him wrong in the first place. but I agree--they say go, you go. and don't bother ever trying to correct them, just ain't gonna happen.

NASA Camaro Mustang Challange at Summiit point - Dukes of hHazzard move

http://www.cateseng.com/catesracing/...kes_of_cmc.wmv

Point bys? We dont need no stick'n point-bys. Stupid Stupid

http://www.sonny2.com/Vids/SPaAug26.wmv
'Driver of the silver 350Z says he lost his brakes entering T10. I heard & then saw him coming in my sidemirror. Sometimes in Instructor group, you don't give a pt-by & someone will go past. So, I really didn't think anything of it except I saw his closing speed was waaaay more than it should've been. He splits me & the Miata driver in front of me."

While we're sepaking of video, here's a clip of a driver who was just a bit luckier than Legg at Road America. Remember her terrible off at "The Kink" at RA? This guy in this video has an incident at the same place, but the results are a little different:
