C5 Z06 Location for GPS Antenna?
I may have a chance to borrow a datalogger for a local autocross this weekend. As I understand it, this uses an antenna with a magnetic base. Are there any steel reinforcements in a C5 Z06 or, for those with DL1 (etc.), how/where do you mount an antenna?

The short answer to that question is no. That's what I use and we run the thing thru the car interior and attach the antenna at the base of the trunk lid. With the trunk open, you can easily route the thing to that area outside the car. After you close the trunk, tape the wire and the antenna down with some racers tape and you'll be good to go.

I used two strips of 1/4" wide double-sided tape initially to
attach the antenna for my G2X to the centre of the dash.
I wound up using this for several events due to procrastination
and the longevity of the adhesive qualities of the tape. In
time, I bought black 1-7/8" OD circular Velcro pads at Home Depot.

Incidently, if you do not already have a mount for the
data-logger lined up, here is a ready-made, NHTSA-approved
base you might consider.
