Anyone have limerock times in a C6Z06
I will be doing a couple of track days at Limerock later this month and I was wondering what other guys are running at LRP in Stock C6Z06s.

That seems really fast
I was going to run with NECC but just realized the event was Monday and I missed it
Next Event is NASA I have run with SCDA as well. NASA no timing
Is Gary's car stock ?
57 seconds is about 5-7 seconds faster then I have every seen a true street car run there. Not saying it can't be done I'm just a little jealous.

I have a friend who drives a Mitsubishi Evo; he just came back from LRP and measured his best lap at 59. something. I'm usually faster than him in my C6Z, so I believe Gary's time of 57 or 58 is very doable. I'm going to LRP 11/4 with PDA/NASA. Since I now have my hotlap timer, I'll report my times.

LRP is more freindly to an Evo than most Pocono courses. I'll see you there Hope the weather is good. It is a real crap shoot by then at LRP. I have seen summer like days and snow on the same date.

I'll have Joe C. talk to the man upstairs to make sure that we have a summer like day.

I still have to see a 57 at LRP in a stock car with a car and driver like LG doing his times of 55.xx or 56 for a record lap. The lower you go the longer the seconds get to get rid of. Mazda Pro's Series ( open wheel cars?) do some real great 47's if I am not mistaken. Bush cars run there I need to see there time if I can find them.
C5R is what 53 second range?

Hey I was traveling all day to Topeka to help Chris Ingle at the Runoffs. The LRP course those guys ran had the kink, and Lou and Randy Pobst did a 54's in the WC car on the non-kink uphill. The GT1 record is high 51 that way. What is amazing is the NASCAR Busch North cars do 55's on McCreary bias ply tires with 390CFM carbs on 3300 lb cars! On the '01 385 HP C5Z we ran T1 with (we didn't run the T1 kit then) with just some Hoosiers and a cage and a good setup we did consistent 61's. With the C6Z you can run easily sub minute times there, but your quickest lap will be lap 2 or 3 and then it will go away and get greasy. The stock gearing is perfect for LRP. The powerband on the C6Z is so amazing you will run 3rd gear all the way around until diving turn then 4th gear will take you to about 150 or more into Big Bend. On "no-name" you will stay in 3rd, hit 7000+ RPM into climbing turn, stab the brakes, apex late, and for god's sake, go square over the uphill or you will be very sorry. I was having a ball that day, I lapped Bruce LeDoux 2 times in one session and he was 2rd overall for the year in Spec Miata and he runs 64-65's in a SM! That folks is really flying in a SM! Cheers, have fun and cheer for Chris this week!

I have seen a bone stock C5 Z06 run 1.01 so I can see how an extra 100 hp can shave a few seconds. As has been said before, straight on the uphill or prepare to eat tire barrier.

I was there in March and there were a few running around. Down the front stretch it was like wow that thing rips 15+mph difference. I was in 02 z06 and my Firebird. My best on worn out Kd was at this event 1.06+ in my firebird. I could see with better traction and HP its doable.
As for the Vid I dont like when the roof colapse's, just thinking of a big pain in the neck each time a watch that.
Later John
