selling my Autocross setup 04 z06
I know this isn't the for sale section, but thought I would cross post over here where the racers hang out...
I am selling my 2004 z06 (Torch Red/Mod Red) that is currently set up for SCCA Solo (Autocross) SuperStock competition. If you want basically a turnkey autocross car with some extras for a great price, this is the one. I have spent a lot of time and money getting this car to the point it is. It is fast, balanced and handles like it should! This car has only been on the highway and autocrossing, no track days or drag strips.
Details on the trophy winning, trailer queen.
2004 Torch Red / Mod Red (Z16-like stripes in Porsche Cayanne Metallic black and Metallic silver)
17,200 miles
No issues car
- Penske 8100 Double Adjustable Shocks (custom valved w/ upgraded digressive valving) <-- charts available to serious buyers
- race hardend wheel studs (great for worry free wheel changing)
- stock 30mm and larger 32mm front sway bars
- 2 complete sets of OEM z06 wheels
- tire trailer hitch (still installed)
- tire trailer included with price
- set of Hoosier A6 tires with only 3 scrub in runs (will be autocrossed this weekend, so expect that number to go up by 5-7 runs edit: I did not run this car this weekend. The tires still only have the 3 scrub in runs.)
- set of Hoosier A6s with 42 runs mounted on spare wheels
- several take off sets of race rubber available for free to the buyer (A6s, 710s, S04s etc)
- set of stock street tires (Fronts well worn, rears ok)
This car is great, I am selling it only to try something new next year
I am listing this car for sale including everything listed above for: UPDATED PRICE: was $38,500 for everything, then reduced to $36,500, now it is only $35,000 w/ everything or $34,000 without the Penkse Racing shocks.
I have more pics and can send them to interested parties. I also can take pics of anything you want, just let me know.
The car is located in the Raleigh, NC area.

Thanks guys -- I know there is someone out there that is looking for a well setup autocross z06. Hopefully they stumble across this thread before I start taking it back to stock and selling the parts off.

UPDATE: I didn't take the car out this weekend as the forcast was for lots of rain. I ended up driving my RX-8 instead. So, the Hoosier A6s that are mounted still only have the 3 warmup scrub in runs on them. They are fresh and ready to go.

ttt for Adam.
Adam, I flogged m C6Z @ the Porsche event we hosted this past weekend.
My biggest concern? Putting the power down...
You know my driving style, so it'll be a challenge w/ this car--especially since it's modded.
You plan on going the C6Z route?

Do you have a picture showing the hitch installation? Is it a bolt on, no drilling installation? Please sent to kfbrinton@yahoo.com

New Price -- come and get it!!!!!
Now available for the insane price of only $35,000 for EVERYTHING! The Penske Shocks are included now in that price. -- If you don't want the Penske's you can have the car for $34,000
The only change to the car so far is that I have sold the trailer hitch/relay off of the car as well as the 40ish run Hoosier A6s. The extra wheels and the trailer itself are still included in this price. Hurry, act now before I sell more parts off of the car!
The car is still covered under the manufacturer's warranty!

Adam---
I heard you were selling some parts from the car----
How much for the instrument cluster (tach speedo etc.) ?
As I would like to mount it on my office wall, or possibly in the office bathroom on the wall, in place of a tacky poster.

I have been thinking of a c5 zo6 to track only. Have a c6 z51, just startin to have fun with it, tryin to decide whether to race mine or get something like yorus and keep my C6 for fun on the weekend.
I was also thinking red would be nice also..........
Id like to know what is left on the warranty and some more pics if you have them, maybe you could PM/email me?
