Craked a brake rotor - suggestions for new rotors?
My z06 came with xdrilled and sloted rotors... and I cracked a rotor on a high speed autoX this weekend.
I run HP+ pads, SS lines, 710s or hoosiers when autoXing, and street drive the car.
Any suggestions for a good rotor? I'm pretty sure Im going to go with blanks instead of slotted to avoid further cracking.

Burning Brakes
Jason,
Conventional wisdom is that it's the cross-drilling that causes the cracking. Get the standard rotors for track use. I installed a set of NAPA stock rotors and am running them with HP+ pads for both street and track. They are working great. I was just out at Pocono on the long course last week, and the brakes had no problem pulling the car down from high speed for Devil's elbow and the infield, over and over again.

Another vote for the NAPA or Rock Auto rotors here.

Steve -
Of course... I have only owned the car for 6 months or so and it was a 10 second freeway/1320 toy, with the rotors installed.
I'm transforming it into a autoX beast/track ***** with coilovers, adjustable sway bars, oil cooler, 17x11s around, etc, etc...
I already know the pitfalls of the rotors and will be staying with the NAPA stockers

Of course they also deliver tires and wheels to the house so I give the driver a reason not to join a gym

Any suggestions for a good rotor? I'm pretty sure Im going to go with blanks instead of slotted to avoid further cracking.
