What Transmission Fluid To Use?
I'm going to change my transmission fluid before CMP in two weeks.
What brand of fluid are you guys running at the track? Amsoil? RP?

hey , nice to meet you guys at Car guys last weekend, Have been using redline in the tranny and RP in the differential, would def change both of them at the same time , cheap insurance. Prolly doesn't matter very much as long as it is a good synthetic

I've been using the Redline Synthetic ATF in my '03 Z and it seems to work great. I've heard some excellent comments about the Mobil 1 Synthetic AFT as well and might give it a try next time. With the Redline, I have not had a problem with the tranny overheating on the track at all. Very pleased with it so far.

I've been using the Red Line MTL 70W80 Synthitic Lubricant in my Corvette transmissions since 1999. The RL MTL has been formulated to have a perfect coefficient of friction for rapid sychro engagement. You will find that the transmissino shifts smoother and quicker with the MTL from Red Line, and provides excellent lubrication protection of the gears under hot severe use.

I'll probably either fix my car or buy another one this winter when everyone tries to unload their cars.
As mentioned, I use the AMSOIL ATF in my tranny.

Thanks for all the input!
Based on what seems to be an overwhelming majority I picked up some Redline for the tranny and rear diff too. I've also ordered magnetic drain plugs for both the tranny and diff.

Motul RBF 600 - bought a whole case from http://www.porterfield-brakes.com/ before Car Guys. Will be doing a flush in both cars next week. Oil is good to go. I'll probably suck out a bit of clutch fluid and refill too. Thanks!
