Default Help: tool for LG Motorsports trnny/dif cooler pump install

If anyone has done this, we really need some help finding the J part number or what you used to get the pinion nut off.

Much appreciated, thanks.

I've installed 3 of these and have never replaced the pinion nut.

I drill and tap the existing nut. The drive coupler fit's snuggly into the back of the pinion so it self centers, then rotate the wheels so what you are drilling is always at the bottom. I just find it's easier than removing the nut then trying to torque it to 280ft lbs. Just lay some rags down and you should be fine.

But if you want to replace the nut I've went down that road and called Kent-Moore, the J number is actually 2 tools in one. I'll look it up if you really want it. Otherwise give me a ring, I'll PM you my number.

Thanks Joel, I'll give you a call for sure.

I have called LGM, but they're all at Laguna Seca for a week for the races, and as any racer know, when you're preparing for your own race, you just can't wait a week. ;-)

Cheers,

Steve
