It wouldn't be the fluid, if it's an off intermittent problem, the first thing I would check for would be lose wire or corrosion. Pull the codes from you DIC and that will tell you where to start looking. Worst case is a new EBCM for ~$650 from Fred Beans or Fitchner.

You can use either a Tech 2 or you can:

Hit the "Option" button twice and while holding it down on the second time, push the "Fuel" button 4 times. The computer will start to cycle thru the codes and the faults.

There are a lot of threads in the C5 tech forum, do some searches there for DIC. Also, do some searches on ground points. I had an intermittent wheel speed code which dissapeared after I cleaned up the ground points. Real easy to do. Lastly, how are your pads? I'm NOT an expert and you may want to get this sorted out sooner than latter, I'd hate to see you not be able to stop.

This happens with my car all the time, I've read it could be the ss brake lines (started when I installed them) I've been lucky and it hasn't been an issue lately. I race with every thing off so when it codes I only lose ABS, but everything else workd fine.

I had the same thing that went from a history code (H suffix) to a current (C) and I ended up needing to have the EBCM replaced, under extended warranty.

ok here are the codes i got.

TCS
C1214 H C Sol Valve Relay Contact or Coil CKT Open
C1221 H LF Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal is 0
C1222 H RF Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal is 0
C1248 H ?

guessing its the "Sol Valve Relay Contact or Coil CKT Open

Don't know what that one is, but your wheel sensor codes are a problem. I had this problem on my C6. There was a bad connection to one of the wheel speed sensors, and I got errors for ABS, traction control, and active handling.

Start by checkign for corosion and lose wires to the EBCM. If that's all good, pick up a new EBCM and install it. It's about a 30min. job and the only thing special you need is a T-20 or T-25 screwdriver. Pretty much, move the intake out of the way, unhook the wires, unscrew and pry the EBCM from the BPMV, put the new one on and hook everything back up. When I did it, the codes cleared themselves as soon as I started the car back up.

there's some pictures and info that may help you here.
