Proper Charging Technique for AMB
I just bought a used AMB TranX 260 transponder with 120v wall charger and 12v lighter charger. It did not come with instructions. What is the proper charging technique? It seems to be working fine after a 24 hr charge.
1. Keep it in the charger all the time when not in use?
2. Let it deep discharge and recharge it when needed?
3. How long does the battery last?
4. Is the battery replacable some day?
Thanks

Just what I've done but not from any technical source. I found at first
that the unit took something over 24 hrs to charge fully. I usually put
it on the day before I leave for an event and then transfer it to the
charger in the car until I get to set up. It seems to be working fine
even for 3 day events on the one charge. I let it just stay uncharged
between events. Some folks I've talked to say the limiter on the battery
is the number of charges in total that it will take so I'm only charging
when it needs to be in use. I've looked inside and changing the battery
should be no issue, except for finding the right one. My unit is about 18
months old.

BTW, taping it down inside the center rear storage bin works great and is
much better than a zip to the licence with some tape, which I used to do
and then regularly forget until about half way home.
