FS: 1972 Corvette IIB/BSP autocross prepared car
Hello all, up for sale is a 1972 Corvette autocross coupe. This is a turnkey vintage race car with many original extra parts. 1972 was the last year for chrome bumpers front and rear. It's a very fast, and competitive car, and in the few times we've had it out with the NCCC this year, it's been in competition for overall FTD.
Here are a few details about the car:
Engine/Transmission:
355 c.i. small block
LT-1 balanced bottom end
Lunati cam
2.02 LT-1 heads
LT-1 intake manifold
Holley 800 double pumper (recently rebuilt)
Factory LT-1 carb heat shield/spacer
K&N air filter
Holley electric fuel pump & regulator

Taylor plug wires
Hooker side mount headers

TH400 transmission with manual valve body
3300 r.p.m. stall torque converter
4.56 positraction rear end
Original radiator recently rebuilt
Engine built to the max of NCCC Group II specs
Suspension:
Daytona front coil springs
Fiberglass rear mono-leaf spring
Carerra adjustable shocks
New brake rotors all around

Would you worry about temps in that car on a road course? How hot does it run after 20 minutes or more track time? It's beautiful, BTW. I only just stopped my wife from calling ya'll on it. She likes C3s.

There are some things on this particular car, that would [I]not] be B/SP legal, but regionally you would probably be alright.
Old cars are cool, I am glad I have been able to keep my B/SP '72 LT-1 car all of this time. I believe I saw this car at Putnam Park NCCC event this year and it is nice.
