Default Top speed running

Hey guys...

There are plenty or road racing courses .... 1/4 ... 1/8 mile tracks....

So ... where can someone go to run flat out.. like an old military airfield??? Un policed piece of road? Just would love to run to the upper end of my Z06 but have no clue were to do it at.. Would be willing to drive a long ways to do it

Any ideas?

Ed Van Scoy ran here

An issue might be compliance with the regulations groups establish.
They require equipment and demonstrated ability before approving
runs at the kind of speed a C6 ZO6 can travel.

I would think you would need a pretty long stretch; at least 2 miles of foot to the floor road, and then about a min of 1/2 mile shut down.

The Z06's that I've seen run in open mile runs have hit about 180 but would need a lot more room to top out.

Non patrolled road might be good for some short speed bursts but you don't want any issues like deer or road kill when doing above 150 mph.

I too wold be interested in hitting top speed but outside of a test track or the salt flats I don't see any possible/safe place to do it.

Maybe the Autobahn.

I would really love to hit the speed limiter at least once, anyone have any other viable locations?
