Default Zip Tie Mod Illegal?

Will a zip tie mod (C5) move a group I car into group II?

I don't know about NCCC but it'll move you from stock to ASP in SCCA. FWIW

Yes. Group II. You're modifying your intake, which is not allowed in Group I.

Its where you remove the air box cover and hold the filter in with zip ties.

1.open hood
2.remove original air cleaner top portion by unsnapping two hold downs
3.use long plastic zip ties to secure the air filter to the bottom portion of the remaining air filter assembly
4.close hood (hope exposed air filter does not ingest water or fail to seal allowing unfiltered air into motor)
