Default A pair of Z06s make satement at COMscc Limerock event

Out of 80 cars myself and my buddy glen had the second and thrid fastest times of the day.

The only car faster was a PA BMW M3 race car 465 RWHP

Both glen and I were running stock C5 Z06s, Glen was running Kuhmo 710s & I was running Hoosier A6s up front and AS05s in the rear.

Glen ran a 59.693
I ran a 59.710 with a bobble at the bottom of the hill my other times were a 59.720 & a 1:00.1xx

We broke the class record by 5 seconds

It was pretty cool. I was up in the timing tower with a stop watch and they were so close, my thumb couldn't move fast enough to catch the .017 differential. It was pretty wild watching the "slow" 385 Z06 run under a minute. My stopwatch had them within a few thousandths so we didn't really know who was faster until trophies. I was nowhere near Ken or Glenn but managed to go from my best last year of 1.09 to 1.03's yesterday.

let us know when you get the video up.

I was one of the ones slowing you up in practice. Too many cars out there.

There was a lot of traffic in every run group. I didn't have a clean lap until Saturday.

The yellow Vette w/ black top off track excursion was the save of the day! I was standing nearby when you took that photo-- he pulled it under control before sliding into the barrier-- on wet grass!!!

Impressive as usual. What lap time did the M3 do?

Thanks! You made my day! That was me. I was told (by the person behind me) that my right rear hit the puddle comming out of the first turn. It caught me totally by surprise. I had a smooth entrance, apex and I thought a smooth exit then the car turned on me fast. I locked everything up right away until I hit the grass then I let go of the brakes and steered out of it. It wasn't until I looked at the video did I see the the wall. Wow was it close. Thank you Spring Mountain! Everyone was spinning there because of the water. After I hit it, it was all cleaned up. The rest of the day was uneventful. I couldn't run the time trials because I didn't have a roll bar. Had an awesome day otherwise!

Yup, I did it on the left hander puddle. Someone that witnessed it said my tire touched the puddle and my car immediately swung out.
I was behind you later that day, meant to catch up to you to apologize for riding your *** on the cool down lap. I was so focused on getting around a car on the front straight that I didn't see the checker and couldn't figure out why you were going so slow.
