Don't kill yourself trying to do that though - just get good, consistent laps and the times will come down. Good luck and have a blast - RA is my 2d favorite track (VIR is #1).

Stock 01 z06 with victoracers or the like, I have been timed at 1:40.x but never timed in the 1:30's... At 1:40 I am usually the fastest close to stock car at panoz sundays or close to it.

Tim is very quick in a stock Z06 ( or firecracker)
. come on down and say hello will be there for Sat & Sun in Quicksilver 01 Z06. You can't miss the big black truck with blue flames.
Chris' advice is very on target as usual , don't get greedy on the back at turn 6&7 slowly find your limits. and 12 is almost religious

Grants car is a Trans AM vette.(tube frame)...so not a good comparison
I have run 1:35's in my T1 car (2002 Z06) ...Ingle is always faster, his times are pretty much untouchable.
I have run 1:32's in my SPO 2001 Z06.
If you can break into the 1:39's you are doing something.

Had a blast as I got to drive a IS350 for a session. Thanks boss! I think we were both timed in the 1:53s. Not bad for a stock 4 door.

Hey man, I'm the guy that was there with the silver z06 and the black lexus. I didn't realize we knew each other when I posted on this thread.
Hope you had fun, and btw, do you have any lt1 engine parts you want to get rid of? I am going to start rebuilding my camaro motor.

Good to meet some more Corvette folks there. Sorry, still trying to match up the screen names with people - will get it right soon Was busy troubleshooting some AH/ABS problems Saturday and found a warped rear rotor Sunday morning but it didn't cause me to miss much. And then some of my wife's friends showed up Sunday so I didn't have as much time to hang out and chat.
Just to satisfy my curiosity, wife timed me at 1:46.1 as my best lap Sunday. Wasn't very consistent at all depending on the traffic in the B-group. Was trying to be very gracious and wait for the point-by but some folks even after two passing zones gone wouldn't give it up....rather frustrating but what can you do..

I race a SV650 with WERA. I live 15 minutes from Road Atlanta, so I have no excuse for missing stuff that is going on out there.

Anything in 1:30's is cooking nicely.
Also means you have a full roll cage or no fear of wrecking your nice car. Alot of concrete around that track.
I personally run 2-3 seconds slower then normal there compared to other tracks (benchmark against other drivers) in my street car.
