BTW, did anyone (but me) happen to check out the dialog between Bruce Dern and James Garner (I race against Jim Herlinger who owns the Garner AAR L88) discussion of the insurance issues?
James GArner commenting on the insurance: "Loyds of London carried the insurance until the fire scene. When I did my own stunt in the fire scene, they cancelled our insurance, so I did the rest of the movie without any insurance." Can you imagine such an occurrance today?

Steve McQueen wanted to drive/race a 917 but he couldn't find a source of insurance and he couldn't afford to outright own and race one. So he did the movie "Lemans" and was able to play with all sorts of stuff.
