Default FEELER: Thunderhill 2/26/07

Thunderhill just offered us (www.team-racing.org) an additional date for 2007 and I wanted to check with you all before I commit. The date would be Monday, February 26th and the cost would be $225 per driver. As always, the event would include morning coffee service, Gatorade and bottled water, snacks, catered (WARM) lunches, instruction, and at least two hours of track time. I need to have an answer for Thunderhill soon or they'll be giving this day to someone else. Let me know asap by either posting here or better yet, by sending me an email to bonni@weatherwax.net Thanks!

Anybody else going to this event? Looks like it may be damp up there on Monday but it should still be a lot of fun.

Check out the drivers list, Glen . . . a bunch of guys from the Santa Clara Corvettes are coming out (minus Lou -- he cancelled last night due to illness). Go to www.onemain.com/~bonster/driverlist.html LOTS of your Corvette brethren will be there to keep ya company.

Aw. I only count six, and they'll all wimp out when the showers come through. ;-)

Well, there are six now including you, Glen. I forgot to take Joe's name off (he had last minute work details that he could not get out of). I left Lou's name up in case he feels better soon enough to attend. So there's six die-hards for ya. You never know, with the electronic age the way it is, we could still get a few last minute sign-ups. Good ol' PayPal and email make it happen. You should be an expert in that, Glen.

Running in the rain is a great way to sharpen your skills. It forces you to be smooth. I recommend a rain track day to anyone how is serious about learning how tp control their car. You'd be surprised at how fast you can run in the rain.

With only 6 cars running you not going to hit anyone. You may end up in the mud a little bit. No big deal.

If I wasn't headed for the Cayman Islands Monday I'd be there rain or shine.

Dave
