Default Tires for Stock class AutoX

Which tires and sizes are you all using for a stock 2002 vert in autoX? I am ready to purchase and wanted to know what opinions everyone has on the current selection of tires.

I run Z06 rears (10.5 x 18) on all 4 corners. I have two different set of tires:

Autocross:
Hoosier 305 30/18 I'm not highly competitive so I purchased the A3S04 closeouts direct from Hoosier. They are sold out but the A3S05's are still available.

If you want to run on stock C5 wheels, you can run Hoosier A6 275/40x17 in front and 295/30x18 in the rear. That will keep you in the stock class in most sanctioning bodies.

Can't do that and stay in stock classes. Different tire sizes, yes. Different wheel sizes, no.

I'm running 275/305 Toyo RA-1s as an intermediate tire on stock wagon wheels. Just one event so far on this setup, but so far I'm liking the balance.

HTH, and have a good one,
Mike

DOT Race tires like V710's are OK, but the rim size has to stay the same as what came on the car.

SCCA Rule book

13.4 WHEELS

Any type wheel may be used provided it complies with the
following: it is the same width and diameter as standard, and as
installed (including wheel spacers if applicable) it does not have an
offset more than +/- 0.25 inch from a standard wheel for the car.
The resultant change in track dimensions is allowed.
Wheel spacers are permitted, provided the resultant combination
complies with the offset requirements of this section. Wheel studs,
lug nuts, and/or bolt length may be changed.
Vehicles equipped with rims having metric specifications may use
alternate rims as determined by using the following procedure:
Diameter: converting the metric measurement to inches and
using the nearest smaller inch diameter rim.

Width: converting the metric measurement to inches and using
the nearest smaller 1/2-inch width rim. Offset and track must
still comply with the requirements of this section.
