Default Where do I attach the straps to trailer a C6 Z06

I am taking delivery of a 20' aluminum trailer from Tommystrailers.com when he brings them out to Barrett Jackson. I'm wondering where and how to attach the axle straps to the car front and rear. The cars sits so low in the front, I'm concerned about the angle of the straps to the d-rings. If anyone has any advice or pictures, I'd sure appreciate it!

Thanks!

the T hook is also availible at norther Tools. Make sure your trailer has the D rings installed, they are options on most enclosed trailers.

Cross the straps in an X. My Z06 is lowered and I don't have any issues at the front.

also the T hooks for the rear are pretty far from the rear D rings so you may need longer tie downs for the rear. In a pinch I've put the axle straps around the suspension A arms by the swap bar fitting and snug it down firmly but not cranked down.

The T Hooks are used by the factory to ship steel frame C6s. Since this is a C6 Z06 with aluminum frame is it shipped the same way the steel frame cars are shipped? If so this is the best way to tie down a Corvette. Axle straps are for junk cars.

Gary has a new Z so I would imagine it is the same. I guess he will chime in.

I went ahead and ordered 4 of the T hooks. I need to crawl under the car and find where they fit in the morning. I'll take some pics for anyone else that may need this info!

Thanks!

AZ, they will fit in the same place in the afternoon.

You have done the right thing getting the T hooks. Those holes in the chassis have been specifically designed to hold the Z down during shipment.

Look under where the door meets the front fender and where it meets the rear quarter panel. Holes are oval.

I have been trailering my C6Z since May with no trouble.

Make a mark or use small piece of tape on rocker panels opposite the tie down holes--after awhile you will be able to just hook up without getting down and looking for the slot. Usw only spray silicone on rachet mechs to prevent dirt/grease build up.
