In the lastest issue of RACER magazine.

1984 GTP CORVETTE $325,000.00
1984 GTP CORVETTE
Rare opportunity to own a piece of Corvette history, restored and race sorted to run historic GTP the #4 Corvette is one of only seven, huge supply of spares and body molds.

Yes, I put Corvette in quotes for a reason.
Still, would be really nice to have.

The strange thing about it is that the only V6 vette was the GTP race car. That was a shock to me but power is power I guess.

You think the purchase price is $$$$. To run it through a season of HPDE will cost you close to the purchase price. These things are like boats, the price above is simply the entry fee.

Then break something they don't make anymore and you'll be paying a fabricator big $$$.

No doubt, last year or the year before (I forget which) someone banged up one of the old Nissan twin turbo GTP cars in the historic race they run before the 24 hrs at Daytona. Cubic dollars.

Incidently, those cars turned a couple laps quicker than the DPs qualified at that year!

I think I saw that on eBay about 2 months ago. Can't remember the price though.

If you can afford a $325K toy than you can afford to fix it.

Boy, I'll say it would! The LRP track record is held by a GTP car at 43.1 WITH the kink in the uphill! DP cars are nowhere in the league of a GTP car. I really liked the Chevrolet Intrepid GTP:
