Dumb question - do 99-00 FRC's have the same trans as the c5 z06? Or is it the same as the coupes?

Same as the coupes , FRCs and coupes have the MN6 , Z06's have the M12.

MN12's have shorter gear ratios everywhere except 4th (same as MN6).

but the mn6 is a better road race trans, as the gears are tighter and you lose fewer revs. HOWEVER, if you use 5th gear (most stock-geared C5's don't at most tracks), the M12 is better

GM totally screwed this up, imho. We need an OEM trans with the mn6 1-4, and the m12 5-6.
