Default Trailer hitch

Does anyone know of a source for a trailer hitch for an 07 C6. I want to tow a small utility trailer to the track to hold a set of wheels/tires and a few tools. Eckler has one but it is kind of pricey. Know of any other sources? Thanks C5 XTC

I would think that Draw-Tite and DaLan will have C6 hitches. The one in the Eckler's catalog is a Curt hitch #11380.

There are a number of online trailer hitch sources so do a Google search on "trailer hitch' and see what you can find. You can probably beat the Eckler's price.

DaLan became part of Curt sometime in 2005, IIRC.

I ordered a DaLan for my C4. It arrived with DaLan product
stickers & literature, but in a Curt box.

Try www.hitch-web.com. Their price is only $20 less but they
provided me with exceptional service and their price includes
shipping. (You might consider ordering the light module kit
at the same time - this eliminates the need for the OEM
circuits to conduct full current for the trailer's signal/brake lights).

Hitch-Web lists here for a 2005, will the 2007 be the same?

Eckler's describes theirs as a 2005-2007. 'Out of stock ...'

I bought this one, it's a De'Laan for $202 plus $1 shipping. Fits great and works just fine with my Magnaflow 14336 mufflers. If you've got aftermarket exhaust make sure you can return the hitch if it doesn't fit. However, the factory exhaust is so big and the hitch is designed to go around it so you shouldn't have any problem, but best to be sure you can return it.

Thanks Joe, that sure looks like the same hitch at a much better price. I'll give them a call. C5 XTC

A much better price.

On the site, it is described as Da'Lan. Puzzles me because of my
experience related above where Curt appeared to have taken over
Da'Lan.

I was asked what trailer I use, here's a pic. It's a Harbor Freight trailer, cheap, comes in a box and must be assembled. It's not hard but tedious to assemble due to a ton of nylock nuts. I put a piece of wood on and tire chocks from Walmart to haul 8 tires. Several buddies have put a tool box on instead and haul 4 tires. This thing tows great and has given me several trouble free years so far. It stores in a small space standing up in the garage. Now Lowes and HD have small trailers already assembled that are only $100 or so more as another option.

They may call it a Da'Lan but I believe you are correct in that they are manufactured by Curt Manufacturing (same stock number 11380). This is one of those "shop around" items too. Prices range from $179 to $299 for the same product! One of the least expensive suppliers only charges $1 to ship it. Corvette tax??? C5 XTC
