Default roll back trailer

anyone have one of these? I like the concept, but can't seem to find a local dealer in NJ to go see one.

Thanks

I have a Sloane Quickload. I had to call the plant in Texas and they gave me two dealer's nearby. One was in NY and he wouldn't deal and the other was in York, PA near Carlisle. Kesinich (Sp?) trailors, or something like that I think. I've been very happy with it.

Good luck.

looks like they have a deal right now for $3300 new. I am going to call the place I deal with for my trailer and see if he can get a good price.

I want to add toolbox, winch and spare tire.

I'm a happy owner of a Sloan Quick load trailer as well. I've been using mine now for over 5 years and would never go back to using ramps.

Now, having said that I just recently discovered one downside to a roll back trailer. If something happens to the tow vehicle, like oh... I don't know, say it has a bad battery and you can't get it to start. Well, then there is no way to roll the bed back as you need the tow vehicle in order to accomplish that. This means you can't unload the car you are towing, which you could use as a means to go to the store and get a new battery for the tow vehicle! Something I never thought about in the 5 years of ownership.

Can't you have a battery on the trailer that's connected to the rollback motor and then use the tow vehicle to keep the trailer battery charged? There is a 12v pin on the factory 7-pin connector that should be able to supply 40A of current.

That's just it, roll back trailers dont have a motor. It's the tow vehicle itself that pushes the bed backwards while the axles of the trailer remain stationary. This then allows the trailer to tilt down.

Look at trailer now to see if you can later. They are not great to have in vehicle during an accident. My tools worried me also, glad I got it all out of the vehicle now and on the trailer,

trailer has place for tools so those are coming out. In the explorer the Wheels fit behind the 2nd rowstanding up with the 2nd seat still up so they would have had to come over the seats to get to me. I think if that was happening I would have more to worry about

I can tell you from experience that it is not wise to carry anything heavy in an SUV and crash ....I thought I was safe in my Avalanche but tools/jacks and wheels came crashing through the partition and all but killed me. A lesson I should not have needed to learn ...
Good Luck.
BTW I really like the idea of these trailers ....can anyone tell me what a they cost ? both steel and alluminum.
and will a lowered vette load without extra ramps ?
