Toyo T1-R Tire Pressure help
Hello,
Just put on a set of Toyo T1-R's on a 2002 Z06 (stock rims and tire size) for a trackday tomorrow. What is the recommended cold tire pressure for these tires on the track?
The temperature will be in the 40's and 50's.
Thanks,
Robert.

with the 38-40 psi hot recommendation. What it takes cold to manage to that temperature is dependent on how you drive. If this is your first DE, then you may need to push those cold pressures up a bit. First time I ran some RA-1s (different tire, I understand) I started with 32 psi cold. Came off the course with pressures around 40, and that seemed to work pretty well. YMMV.

I saw a jump of 12 psi with one session on Roebling's new surface. I had the non-shaved, new RA1's. The sound of the tires give a good feedback, almost sounded like the GY GS-D3's screaming! If you have run Kumho 710's, you probably won't like 'em. Since I have them now, I think I'll run the first sessions with the Toyos and then switch to the Kumhos after I get up to speed.....Sorta save the Kumhos' life that way.

I start cold at about 34 psi front and 33 rear, finishing, depending on ambient temps, around 40 or low 40s. The suggested 26psi cold seems too low and is itself likely to increase temps. Ambient temp, track surface, and driving style varies will influence terminal pressure, but I try to end up at about 40psi., with a bit more pressure front than rear.
