Default Rolex 24 Good News from LG Motorsports

Hi Guys,

The good news is that I am going to run in the Rolex 24. The real news is that I am going to run it in a Corvette.

I was there testing with a Mustang team that had a Crawford Chassis, and I got the opportunity to race in another Crawford Chassis with another team but it is a Corvette.

The basic chassis is the same but of course the wheel base is shorter with the Corvette and we will have an LSx engine. I believe that it is an LS2 but I am not up to speed on all the details about the car.

So if any of you were as disapointed as me that I would be in a Mudstain? Alls well that ends well.

Thanks guys.

Lou Gigliotti LGM

"Racing the Way It's Supposed to Be" - the G Man in a Vette

The team needs to put a flame paint job on #57

It looks like the Porsche 997s will be the cars to beat. They have safety in numbers, because there are so many of them.

And the Pontiac whatevers (GPX or GXP) of Leighton had about 15 Pratt and Miller/GM engineers there running the show. The team of Leighton looked like they were just along for the ride.

The Mustang is fast but I left for a reason. A Corvette is a good reason

All we can do is try our best. I have a much better comfort level with the Corvette team of Stevenson Racing.

24 hours is a LOOOOOng time.

See you at the races.

LG

PS, Joe I wish they could put a flame job on it.

Yes, it is one of the 2 Corvettes from Stevenson Motorsports. Running the Rolex takes a totally different dedication than our World Challenge mindset. Keeping a car going at speed for 24 hours straight is a feat in itself.

This team was gracious enough to put me in there car.

As for the Crawford chassis; I think it has potential and can be a fast car. As with any brand new car, there might be some hidden issues yet to surface.

I have watched the Stevenson team grow and I am happy to be associated with them.

I will let you all in on the inside info in exactly 16 days when the race is over

Thanks

See you at the races

Lou

Awesome to see you will be carrying the cross flags instead of the blue egg. Don't forget to put a set of your Pro LT's on the vette to make the diffrence of the long straights. Who's your fellow drivers?

Good luck will be pulling for you!

MikeP.
