Default CCW Classic rim assembly question....

I recently picked up a new inner and outer shell for my CCW classic that I bent during the Runoffs. Does anyone know the recommended torque setting for all the little bolts that hold the 3 pieces together? Thanks in advance!

32lbs. Adjust in a star pattern and make sure you mark them. I suggest you go around twice.

that seems really low. My Kinesis were around 12ft-lb, or 144 in-lb.

And checking online, a 1/4-20 grade 8 bolt should be torqued to 12 ft-lb also. You might want to call john to confirm the bolt size and grade.

30-32ft/lbs is correct. Also going in a star pattern is correct. Then working your way around.

I changed the centers on mine once and spoke with John at CCW first.
30 ft/lbs, star pattern and used the original nylocs so no loc-tite necessary. Clear silicone for the seal and make sure you get all the old stuff out and clean the surface.

When are you planing on putting them back together? Not that it's all that compicated gave me a good idea. I'll make a small video of Bob our 3pc wheels builder putting together a wheel. Only thing better than written is visual!

How about "Wheels Turning" or "Head out on the Highway" both by Judas Priest?

Alright there done! They will added to the Tech section of the site sometime next week with a written list of Tool/Items since it is hard to read. If your running dsl/cable or high the High Quality will work perfect if your still in the stone age and have dialup use the Low Quality. Will work better as an audio track than a visual but it's better than nothing (or upgrade already :-)).

Doggone, that's a hell of a service you offer. I downloaded the vids and will keep them on my computer.

It's makes me glad I have CCW's.
