Default shock?

are the Bilstein Sports better for hpde's then the stock 2003 zo6 shocks?

Basically looking for a shock that is better then the stock 03 zo6 shock. Also want to lower the car a bit more. cars alreadylowered on stock bolts.
dont have $$$ for coil overs.

or any other options?

Go w/ the stock OEM '04 Sachs shocks--no more hover or float in heavy transitions. I was very pleased w/ their performance

I have no direct comparison but OEM shocks are just a low bid item on any vehicle that is mass produced. They never hold up well at all. Bilstiens are rebuildable, you can re-valve them, and they have a lifetime warranty.

Corvette with Z51 C5 & T-1 bars Bilstein sports in at 8,000 miles

Dodge 3500 dooley Bilsteins in at 30,000 huge difference
There was near noting left in the stock shocks for dampening when I removed them. Guys on the truck forum told me they would be shot and they were right. Great ride now. I have just about 100,000 on the truck now and they are still great and tight.

Excursion Bilsteins in at 6,000 miles huge difference. Have about 27,000 on those shocks.

Now Bilstein Sports with custom valving work great with 1200 900 lb springs.. They had about 50,000 on them and needed rebuilding when they were re-valved. Would I like Penske triples yes but for what these cost I get the job done very well.
