Default Dewitts Radiator Install if you have done one step inside

I have this in C5 Tech, but I think it might be more appropriate here with you guy's.

I installed my Dewitts Radiator today, very nice unit. I do have a couple questions for those that have done it themselves. Aside from trimming the fan shroud, did you run ito any difficulty? I noticed a couple things I did not expect.

1) Drain did not fit the factory grommet at all. Grommet needed to be slightly modified.

2) Drain also does not line up with the hole in the radiator support perfectly (it's not centered)

3) Radiator sits higher than factory location. Maybe 3/4" to 1"

Did anyone else notice these things and is this normal?
These were all, no big deal as the unit went in very easily. Just things I did not expect.

I did not experience any of the above when I installed mine. The main difference physically was that it was noticeably thicker, but fit perfectly.

I installed the DeWitt Radiator in my 06 Z06. Getting the old radiator out without D/C the AC was a pain. The DeWitt slipped right in.

1. I did not have to mod the fan scroud
2. I had to bend the lower tranny cooler line to the radiator to clear the T-1 bars.
3. The drain is in a different place, but I do not care.
4. I borrowed the special tool from the chevy dealer to get the tranny lines off and on
5. It has more air resistance than the stock radiator, affecting low speed cooling temps
6. Radiator has a different height, lower or higher, I forget, it was not a problem

You will enjoy this radiator, so will your car.

I had the same problem with my Ron Davis Radiator. To get it low enough so it doesn't force the shroud into the hood I trimmed the rubber isolators at the bottom of the radiator. On the RD radiator they actually did not fit since the shape of the radiator is different than the stock radiator in the tank region. With a little trial and error I was able to get it down far enough on the drivers side but didn't quite get down far enough on the passenger side.
