FX1 or FX1 Pro?
I'm looking to get in on the GB from Livernois Motorsports. I have an '03 Z06 and was mostly just looking for some seats that are better than stock (which suck, as you know). I don't do any autocrossing or roadracing, but I'd like to get into some this spring/summer, and don't want to have to deal with the stock seats while doing it.
I'm about 5'7"-8", and currently 180lbs. I am about a 32-33" waist. I'm trying to get down to 155lb. by spring, so I'd like to take that into account. I'm also pretty broad shouldered.
I was planning on getting the FX1 Pro's due to the fact that they'll fit in the car a bit easier as I've heard the FX1s rub the door and seatbelt spool.
Do you guys feel that the FX1 pro's would fit me fairly well given my vague body size stats? Or should I go with the regular FX1s and contend with the tighter car-to-seat fit?
BTW, this car is not a daily driver. I only take it out when it's nice, and on the weekends to beat up on the locals.
Thanks.

I've got the FX1 Pro in my car right now. I'm roughly 5'10" 155lbs 32-33" waist. It fits great. No complaints here. The only thing I would suggest is get the Hardbar mounts instead of the Corbeau sliders due to the Corbeau's mounts sitting you up really high. Otherwise, you can just take the bottom cushion out and it drops you back down a little and lets you feel the road a little more.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I have the FX1's and if I had a 33" waist I definitely would be buying the FX Pros! But, I've got about as much chance of getting back to 33 as I have of getting back to a full head of hair.

I have the FX1 Pro. I like it a lot. I'm 6' @ 160lbs w/32" waist. Very nice snug fit. My bony little butt stays planted where I put it. And no more smashing your knees on the console or door panel!
I use the double locking slider. It does make you sit a bit higher than I like. My helmet just fits under the roof line. I'd like to sit a bit lower. I removed the back side mount screw from the seat so it does not hit the seat belt retractor. Now the top part at its widest point just touches the door panel and rubs. I took a dremmel to it to take a tiny bit off the fiberglass. No more rubbing.

Sparko makes some good seats that could be used for both, street and track. Seats for the track you wont to firm, and tights, not big cushy lounge chairs.
Preferabley permently mounted, no sliders and the back of the seat should not fold, but be a ridget part of the seat.
For strickly track use, then Kirky road race, or Ultra-shield Delux road race seats.
I am 6-2 200 lbs and a 33" waist. I use a Ultra-shield Delux road race 14" seat. It is tight to get in, but once I am in, I am not sliding anyplace.

I'm using a FX1-Pro in my car right now. I'm 6' even and about 225 (36" waste). It's tight... but I like that. I can't imagine anybody smaller than me wanting the non-Pro.
