If you saw the event and watched the 021 Holden of Team Kiwi Racing
go nearly nearly head-on into a crash barrier at a reported 124 mph
(200 km/h) after being edged off the track by the car of Nathan Pretty,
you may be wondering about driver, Paul Radisich.
Reports the day after the race say he suffered a broken sternum, broken
ankle and bruised windpipe. The injuries took him out for the rest
of the season, but he was well enough to give an interview for the
article.
This race was the Sunday feature event that followed a support event
the previous Friday in which Mark Porter died after being involved in
a three-vehicle crash.
