Default Brey-Krause tow hook

Hey guys,

I am looking at the Brey-Krause tow hook. On the plus side you dont need to cut anything (big plus for me). On the down side it attaches to exhaust hangers which from what I hear in the C6 Tech forum are not threaded into welded bolts on the other side of the crossmember.

What do you guys think? I intend for my corvette to be an occational (3-5 weekends a year) track car, but my more serious track car is my miata (8 weekends a year?)

Also, with the vette I spend most of my time at spring mountain.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I would get in touch with Joe and the Phoenix Performance guys. They have a really nice, hinged tow hook that a bunch of folks are using now. You don't have to cut anything...just have a competent welder attach them. Too easy!

I don't think that's true of the C6; one end or the other requires cutting the body?

Welding is involved? I haven't installed mine yet. I thought the kit came with all hardware. Need to look through the instructions.

Oh, I was thinking it was a C5. Either way, the Phoenix guys have already invented that wheel and perfected how to do it... so don't rack your brain over it...just call Joe.

Is there anyone out there that has actually used this Brey-Krause hook to pull a car out of the gravel traps?
