Default Evolution Autocross School, Cincinnati, Ohio 3/31-4/1

Once again , the Cincinnati region SCCA is hosting an early Evolution autocross school on 3/31-4/1/07.

There will be several notable Instructors there that are very fluent in driving Corvettes.

The school always "sells out" very quickly so I am giving all that may be interested a heads up. The registration will go on-line Monday the 5th on www.myautoevents.com. They will be offering phase 1 and phase two schools, two of each actually.

The school can be mutually beneficial to both the experienced veteran and to the wet behind the ears novice. We ALL have things to still learn...............

Heres the links to the registration pages on MAE.

Evolution is a 'must do' for serious coneheads, especially with Danny instructing.

I took the school last summer here in Nashville (one and two). I immediately went from the middle of the pack to near the front on my times during the next autox meet. The many back to back runs, with the great instruction over those two days made it all come together!

Of course, with DP instructing , you guys/gals are in for a treat! Just do it! You'll be glad you did.

I've been looking forward to this for the past year. Al told me it was good last year. Is it advisable to sign up for Phase 1 on Saturday and Phase 2 on Sunday? I could cetainly use as much help as I can get.

Only other thing. I'm a bit confused by this statement "2 Classes March 31st - 21 Students Each". If I sign up for Phase 1, do I get to run for the whole day?

Thanks for the heads up for signups!!

I took phase 1 & 2 back to back and it was excellent. Last years class ran all day with 2 separate classes running on 2 different courses. The groups traded courses after lunch.

Thanks. Two different courses. That is the part I was missing.

Thanks again.

Our confirmed instructors for right now are Pat Salerno, Tim Aro, Danny Popp, and myself. If this school goes as I expect, we will be adding two more instructors very shortly. We might have to charge extra for the Danny Popp v/s Junior Johnson show down Saturday evening. Man is this gonna be fun!!! Nothing like bad a$$ bowties leaving black marks all over a Ford plant.

Tim Aro was one of my instructors last summer here in Nashville. Y'all must be putting the best group of instructors ever together! I suppose you are going to charge a premium on this one, huh!?

Hey, dude . If we are going to have a "showdown" Saturday evening, then you better bring that car, coat, trophy and hat that you got last year in Topeka.......If you haven't already had to give it all to Rod McGeorge Unfortuneatly I couldn't attend in Topeka to witness you earning your current title.............It is well deserved though, someone needs to RAFT in my absence

Looking foward to the school, I only instruct about two of these Evo Schools a year, as my schedule is too chaotic.....but I do enjoy seeing the lightbulbs go "ON"......

There will defineatly be bad bowties laying black marks on the Ford Plant that weekend, and I am thinking that my car will not be the only one

MySR71 - yes, sign up for both days! It will significantly compress your learning curve, and all the Evolution instructors are top notch. Having instructors with C5 experience is a plus.

Even with all the seat time I've had through the years, going last year was a great refresher and an eye opening experience. Should've done it two years previously when I was getting back into the sport.

Hey Arte!!

I took Phase I and Phase II last year.

The instruction was great...no, not just great...excellent!! The instructors had honest enthusiasm for teaching - what a great group.

The EVO method of small class size, a smaller group with each instructor and one-on-one coaching benefited all of us. We learned from the Instructor, each other and our own mistakes.

I'm taking Phase I and Phase II again this year - slow learner.

Len - I'll see you on the 2nd day.

Thanks RAFTRACER - for the dedication and hard work.

Danny's my budd - and I know he's going to be in high demand - sounds like the other instructors are beyond excellent, too ...

This is definitely going to be a fantastic weekend of excellent instruction
