Spring Mountain runs one of the best HPDE's around! We've been going to their Corvette Days for a few years now, and we always meet great people, get a lot of track time, and use up whatever tires we have.

Most HPDE's obviously include all types of cars (which has it's own appeal) but to see over 100 Corvettes together at the track is unique.

We'll be back in April and hope to meet many of you there.

Default Oh, yes...

Oli? Ed, is the beast running yet?

I've got Aaron's new sway bars to play with. And a new radiator/oil cooler...which I still need to install.

Needs to be tuned, but looks pretty good aside from that. Probably have a couple minor odds and ends that pop up during a shakedown.

No, Spring Mountain will not be run CCW. During the Corvette Classes each student gets a couple of laps CCW just to aquaint them with figuring out apexes on their own. Spring Mountain was not designed to be run CCW.

I want to go but all the hotel rooms are booked. I called The Nugget, Saddle West and Best Western hotels. Last year I had the same problem. Perhaps if this event was on a different weekend every year there would be rooms avaliable.

The town of Pahrump is completely booked every Spring and Fall. It does not matter which weekend.

There is one way to get rooms. Hot Nevada Vettes will be holding a car show & rally at Spring Mountain (upper paddock) during Corvette Track Days. They booked our block of rooms before we could. They have allowed our Track Days people to use their rooms. If you register for either the Car Show or Rally @ $20 you can get into their block of rooms. You do not have to participate, just so that they get their registration fee to offset their costs and donate something to charity.
www.hotnevadavettes.com

Otherwise, when their block expires two weeks prior to Track Days, we get any remaining rooms.

I'm there...hopefully anyway! I will just keep rolling over my Nov 06 sign up fee! If I'm lucky, I will be at open house this weekend and it looks like I will be camping on the back of my 05 Dodge (with tent) as a trial run for April! Been looking for an excuse to try that thing.

Yee ha!

I suppose while going CCW the drop might be at risk of turning into "ramp"

THANKS.....the trip will be half the fun.....still looking for some vet lovers to caravan with.....spread the word. I'll be meeting up with some DC members near Chicago, then Missouri, Texas etc...along the way. We will see the Grand Canyon, Painted Desert, Hoover Dam and end up just south of Las Vegas.

Sounds like a great time. If you do it another time also, like next year, I may be interested.

Please register no later than March 30 in order to guarantee an event shirt.

There are some rooms blocked in Shoshone, about 30-45 minutes from the track. So if you need a room make sure that you talk to Lara about that block of rooms.

To register or for event info please phone 800 391-6891 and ask for Lara.

Is it true this is the last Corvette Days until 2008?
