Default GRM Ultimate Track Car Challenge

I hadn't seen any mention of it here yet, so I thought I'd go ahead and sneak in a plug.

http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/new...-challenge.php

We really need some Corvettes to enter soon so the guys at the office stop busting my *****.

Here's a direct link to the cardomain page:

http://www.cardomain.com/features/grm

Yes, it is technically an "invitation only" event, but the CarDomain voting will weigh heavily on who gets invited. Ideally we'll have as many archetypes represented as we can.

lol, nah, no official records on north course but i can hold my own

north course favors grip over horsepower, which helps us low powered bmw folks...

I'm sure that will help your competition sleep better at night, Danny with practice and power!

Best of luck Danny

Hey any idea of what's going on with the Mean Machines gig on Discovery channel, Hollywood?

Man, that Cardomain site isn't the most intuitive I've ever encountered!

I got feedback from a few VIR users. They all agreed that the long course is prefered and since I will only do one event this year, its best I spend my time and efforts on the long course. Other recommendations are always welcome.
I do good on short courses, but a long course does put me at an advantage.
Whats your best lap time on each course?

2:09.1 on full and 1:39.4 on north...thats with ~260 whp (even less torque) and ~3000 lbs...i havent driven on the north course in a while, i should get some more time on it this year

should be a little faster this year...little more power, better aero, my class weight drops by 78 lbs, and i'm hoping to finally learn how to drive the car

Falcon and Widebody,

I am still not seeing your entries yet. It took me several tries too, what a PITA..........

Falcon, thanks for signing my quest book, did you give it 5 stars ??? As soon as I see both of your entires I will award them with 5 stars also (I really dig Corvettes)

Some of you more experienced VIR track rats will have to show mw how to get around there in July....I am just on 'ole autocross hack.....

Does this event coincide with a whole NASA weekend ??? I havent looked yet , but I am assuming it does. If so , 7 whole days in July @ VIR .......Thats gonna leave a $$$ mark......
