SCCA web site
Go to the bottom for Touring (1) Category

SCCA is Wheel to wheel racing. Lots of fun.

But one can do track days too, or High Performance Drivers events to start. Lots of great track time to learn HOW to drive, then decide if you want to go W2W.

Fun no matter what.

Ive been doing track days for the last couple of years.
Just looking at what might be the next step and weighing out the options and of course the costs.

go with NASA ST2, that's what I'm doing. No strict rules, just a power-to-weight limit. You can do ANYTHING else you want (brakes, aero, suspension).

T1 limits you to VERY specific mods, and cars are only eligible for "x" number of years. SCCA (in my 15 year of Pro and Club experience) is a PITA to deal with, while NASA is always a good time.

If you've got the time, come check it out at VIR this coming weekend, or Rd Atlanta in mid March

T1 is a great group of folks. Call or email me anytime and we'll talk - just too much to write about on the forums!

T1 is more strict on the rules, but that helps ensure that everyone is on the same playing field...supposedly.
