Default Horse Thief mile video

I posted this in C6 general. There is a new mile track at Willow Springs called Horse Thief mile.

To a noob like me it is a little scary, tight track, blind corners, and nothing but ravines and ditches if you go off track. But it is exhilirating and once your in a comfort zone the track is a blast.

Oli AKA Olitho is there today running reverse and trying to break the one minute mark. My best time was 65.200 seconds and was real happy with it. Track record thus far I beleive is 60.300

Hey Ed!

That was the shortest vid I ever saw...what happened?

Glad somebody had a good time...I'm living vicariously through my Vette brothers until otherwise...

Ed

Hey Ed,

Try the link again. For some it only plays a sec, dont know why. Should be 3 minutes.

BTW< I went that day primarilly to see your animal cut loose on the track. I really want to see that thing run.

Let me know if the vid works.

That is a great video Ed. You did a good job with the editing.

The video helps to show some of the radical elevation changes on that track, but for those of you who have never driven that track, the elevation changes are even more dramatic in real life.

It is a very fun track. I was driving it like a rally driver today!

Yeh, the dam thing let several people down so far...me no being excluded! So, I will be going to test and tune at WSIR(hopefully Friday) until it's reliable...my appologies.

Hasta for now---Ed

Here are some pictures from Saturday. I'm pretty sure all the Corvette drivers had a great time. I sure did. The track is small, some places with no runoff, some places with. At the end of the day 2 Corvette drivers had the fastest times of the day. (60.1, 60.8) I told you guys that Corvettes can be fast on any size track. From the looks in the Paddock everyone had a great day, with everyone driving their car home. What could be better then that!

I had a great time there too!
It was really nice to meet you,Bob,Terry and Aaron

Maybe my a-4 would be a little better suited to the slightly larger track though. It was still fun, thanks for the update Steve

Default Off track

This is what happens, frequently at Horse Thief. Felt bad for this guy, no tow hook (like mine )

Tow truck driver hooked to the engine bay and dented the hood when they closed it. He was bummed:

if you think about it a week in a beach house with air fare probably isn't too far off from the S/C cost, but with a three month old at home I'm not going anywhere soon.
