In addition, you can get our standard bumpsteer kit with the typical rod ends for $159 but if you add the "race quality" teflon lined rod ends the price goes up to 199 per pair. That is the reason for the price difference from what you mentioned.
Thanks

I always thought it was interesting that C5/6s seem to have so much bumpsteer built in, particularly in the back. If I understand correctly the rear bumpsteer is the main reason we need so much rear toe-in to prevent an overly loose condition under braking, and the famous C5/6 lift-throttle snap oversteer.
I'd be interested in more details on the kits Lou. I presume they're more necessary on lowered cars?
Thanks,
-TJ

running aftermarket drop spindles, I wouldn't think the race cars would need them.. in other words, why not just move the pickup point on spindle down....
edited... actually, never mind, adjustability is alway an asset

How sensitive is the C6 to bumpsteeer with regard to changes in ride height? For example, at the stock ride height, how much of a problem is bumpsteer for the C6? If the car is lowered, say 1", how much worse is the bumpsteer? I would presume that the LGM bumpsteer kit would substantially mitigate the bumpsteer at a 1" drop. On the other hand, if the car is at stock ride height, is the bumpsteer kit needed?

I'm getting ready to install the LGM spindle ducts. This would be a very good time to install a bumpsteer kit on the front.
Can anyone comment on the LGM, Zip, and Baer bumpsteer kits?

We have been making them since our 2004 Corvette world Challenge C5.
Lowers the car 1 " plus it adds camber and helps the geometry. It also keeps the GM "A" arms located better to avoid the extreme geometry changes when the car is lowered enough to race.
Usually in stock.
Thanks

I would love to have a set of the drop spindles but afraid to ask how much they cost, I expect a lot as I know they are expensive to manf.
Maybe after I complete the body changeover, if business stays as good as it is, then I may go for it.
I already have the bump steer kits, must have item if serious about handling

3r Racing also makes the uprights, or at least they used to (guys remember Phil McClure winning several races in 04' right)? They were around $800 EACH if I remember correctly.
As Lou states, you can't safely lower a Vette very much with the stock spindles without HURTING performance. I don't know if you can lower a car enough on stock spindles to need the bump-steer kit. I know I set a track record at Mosport with OEM pieces, but the technology (and allowances) changed dramatically in the 2 years after that.

3R's pieces (which I couldn't afford)
