PBR Recommended SBS "Dual Carbon"
pads for track only applications. I emailed them with regard to minimizing the J55 pad spreading and pad tapering issues in a race application. I received a response back from Graeme Angus, a PBR Senior Development Engineer who stated that "the correct friction material selection is important" and the "material which will give him the best results then I would suggest..." He also stated that "the GS caliper referred to is marginally stronger than the std J55"
Could it be that the heat transfer characteristics of these pads are different or preferable to other race compounds? I could only presume that this might be applicable to the C5 caliper as well. It seemed like he knew what he was talking about...
By the way, these people RESPOND to technical questions. They can be reached at performancebrakes@pbr.com.au

According to their web site, there appears to be only 1 compound; the "pro race dual carbon". These must be very popular with the Danish HPDE crowd:

I just called the dealer - located in NC. They're about 180 front, 160 rear - will have to order, and it sounds like it will take a while to get them across the pond (weeks).
** It looks like Baer might rebrand them and sell as their own.
