Default Test and Tune Grissom AFB April 14 & 15

Corvette Troy is having their test and tune at Grissom AFB in Peru Indiana again this year on April 14th & 15th. For anyone who has not been to this event before it is a great chance to shake down a car or to get started in autoxing. You can make all the runs you want on a large autox course usually around a 1 minuite course with some very high speed sections for an autox. We have had some people in the past make over 30 runs a day. Their is no scoring for this event, your times will be shown on a digital display board so you can see them after your run. Here is a link with more info http://corvette-troy.com/PDF_Files/Peruflyer07.pdf. If you have any questions just give me a call.
Thanks, Dale

And that was showing up late and taking a long lunch! Great event and good way to make sure your stuff is right. These guys did a great job last year.

If our car is back in one piece we would try to be there. Alot of pieces to be reassembled at this point though... Danny, if we do make it, would you possibly be free to offer some tuning and setup advice?

Sounds like fun. I know you gave a phone number for questions but maybe others would be interested in to hear these too:

Will there be different tracks on Saturday vs. Sunday?

Are passengers allowed?

Thanks,

Dan

Passengers are allowed. We usually use the same course both days for guys wanting to test different set ups

But we could have multiple configurations, as we have had in the past. That way the individual can chose which "path" to take.

Auto_x_Al.......I'm sure we'll have some time to see what you are dealing with....I've already driven that car when it belonged to the previous owner. Will drive and comment for beer

I cannot comment on the comparison of this lot to others, but I sure Danny can when he checks back, but i can comment on the grip, this is an old concrete tarmack with all the grip you would want.
The size of the course is large enough that we work it on bicycles.

I think we will be there on sunday only but we usually arrive the night prior and I'll make sure to have the payment in full!

As far as the setup I'm just hoping I havent screwed it up too bad!
Other than that I will try to get as many people as I can out there.

Evolution school and 2-day Test & Tune. Starting the season off right.

I'm going to make this one, it sounds like fun and I could use some extra time around the cones.

I will get the hotel info and directions up on the Corvette Troy website by the end of the weekend. We usually stay at the Knights Inn or the Best Western in Circus City. The Knights Inn has been going down hill the past few years the Best Western is a little more expensive but is a lot nicer and breakfast is included.
I will have my wife call and see if we can get some kind of special rate if we book a certain amount of rooms at the Best Western.
