cool didn't see a picture of the truck done up like that! Was amazing to watch Newman run at Lime Rock when he was 79 few years ago and still be midfield and competitive!

I agree. that photo was taken at Cleveland in 05, I had the outside pole next to Max Papis and the Champ cars were there also.

I ran my datsun against Paul when we were both starting out. only I just turned 21 and he just turned 51 when we started. He was at his first regional race at Thompson Ct where I was running my TR-3 in my second regional race.

I also crewed for him on a few test days back in the mid 70s. Small world.

PS, I have already dropped 20 pounds!!! So wait until the new photos come out with my Loooose driver's suit.

This photo was at Mosport in turn 5B

Great article. True privateer success story . I was a LG groupie at Laguna Seca last year, hung with one of his truck drivers who could talk your ear off.

I met Tomi Drissi at Laguna really Cool and personable guy. I really glad to hear that he will be returning driving one of Lou’s cars.

Thanks guys.

Yes, I have been very fortunate. I plan on writing a book about the whole 35 years of racing. The harder I worked, the luckier I got.

The Corvette years have been the best.

That's a great writeup on Lou. I'm just trying to visualize Lou wrestling in the 95 pound class in HS!

Congrats, Lou, on another notch in the belt!

Have a good one,
Mike

Lou, that is a great article. I knew Mitch when he was running H prod and then we both raced in the first Alliance Cup series on the West Coast. Like you said, it's to bad they just did not let him do his thing.

Good luck in the future. It's nice to watch someone who has worked hard to make it in racing and in the business world.

Larry
