Signed up for the 1.3mi section of MSR next month...
Apex Driving Academy.
This will be the inaugural run for my C4. We'll see how the rattle trap goes around corners.

That sounds cool I'm sure you'll have fun. Have you been on the 1.3 before? You're in for a real ride at the top of the hill. That one has a bit of a pucker factor to it.

Burning Brakes
Umrswimr,
Why not come out and run with the drivers edge group (www.thedriversedge.net)? I would love to have another C4 to run with!! We ran that set up clockwise last month and it was a blast, my somewhat stock '89 ran consistant in the 1:33 range until the brakes started heating up and the tires starting going
burners
Yes, it does until you get use to it

Melting Slicks
One thing about the 1.3 is you will get lots of seat time on the most difficult part of the 3.1. Wish I could make it!
Have fun

Because I can get a lot more seat time with Apex. Once you're a grad student, you don't have to sit through the classroom sessions, so you get ~8 sessions in one day. For $195, I haven't found a better deal anywhere.

So, about this "pucker factor" corner. Better or worse than "The b!tch" at Hallett?
Anyone have videos of the 1.3?

Here is a video of the 1.3 from a friend on a bike. It will give you a little bit of an idea of the track. The corner is a cresting lefthander about half way around the track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBOEnTFNE30
