Default Auto-X Tire Width and Fitment for...

...front wheels on C5 using Mallet 18x11.5" rims.

Here's what I'm currently running:

C5 lowered with T-1 spring, sways, shocks...

I'm running Hoosier A305 with a 305mm width and these are working fine, however when they are spent (probably by next 2 races) I will need to change.

Now Hoosier does not make 305mm on the A6 they make a 295 and a 315. Also there are the V710 in 295 and 315mm, but no one make a 305.

I want as much tire as possible upfront do to alot of understeer.

Questions:

1) Anyone running 315 on 18" rims in either V710 or A6?

2) Which is wider in the 315 Hooiser or Khumo?

3) Width wise were would the new 295 A6 compare to the A305 305mm?

The 315 is the old 305. Same molds, FWIW. The 305s were always wider than the number would have made you think. When Hoosier went with the A6s marketing changed the number on the side of the tire to 315 so they weren't out "marketed" by Kumho. If Kumho was going to call their 305 a 315 then so was Hoosier. FWIW.

And BTW the 295/18 is the same width as the 285/18, just taller. Go figure.

Great news...thanks I had actually heard this before that the 305 hoosiers were the same width as the 315 v710...so I guess that info was correct
