Default New, Modular brakes from Hardbar

We now offer a modular adapter for the PFC Zr33 Grand Am caliper that will allow you to run the rotor of your choice. We think the PFC Zr33 is the best 2 piece caliper on the market today. What is really cool is you can run $29 NAPA C5 rotors for practice, HPDE's, or short tracks, and with a spacer and longer shoulder bolts change to 13.4, 14.0 (Hardbar, stock, others) rotors. Our 14 inch rotors are very light, but they are $850 a set. I have had alot of guys saying how nice it would be to have first class calipers and pads on cheap disposable rotors. Now you can, with only a shoulder bolt (for no threads in shear) change and a spacer, it is a 5 minute swap from NAPA C5 rotors back to the 14 inch Hardbar rotors. This fits C6Z with stock wheels with only a 1/16 spacer, and will fit C6's and C5's if you have 2.75 inches or more rotor face to wheel spoke clearance. With CCW Corsairs it has a mile of clearance. BTW, with the smaller piston version of the Zr33 it is a very nice rear setup as well with the stock 13.4 rear C6Z rotors.
NAPA rotors:

Change these, and add spacer (not shown)

And go back to 14 inch Hardbar rotor:

i have already expressed my lust for the pfc caliper + napa rotor package.

it really sucks that my wheels don't have enough clearance though.

not for the ones that run napa rotors. but you do need 2.75" between the face of the rotor and the wheel spoke.

Does it fit up with stock C6Z rotors? Do you need a spacer then?

Thanks.

Yes, but it is included in the kit. That is the beauty of this. The C5 NAPA rotor is almost 10 pounds lighter that the stock C6Z and is offered in a right and left (imagine that). One thing that is not immediately obvious, is that the huge pads on the PFC caliper absorb a considerable percentage of the heat (as compared the the stock 6 skinny pad stock caliper). For example, when we were testing our rotors, they had lower operating temps with the PFC caliper than the stock caliper and lasted longer. For events that are not as abusive on the brakes, or for me, when I am just doing instructor duty, the cheap rotor is the way to go. I'll spend more than the $29x2 the rotors cost on gas for the day. Then for the fast tracks I will put on the 14 inchers.
BTW, the PFC 05 compound pads shown in the pics have 6 track days and 4000+ street mile on them and cost $308 for an axle set (4 pads) in you choice of PFC 97, 01, 03, and 05 compounds! I have been using the 05 pads and love tham from 20 degrees to 1500(?) or so. If you like the 01 pads on your C5, you will love the 05.
