Default Summit Point Shenandoah

Just wondering if anyone has done this track in their Vette. I have the opportunity to run this track, but I have never been on it before.

I have done the Main course (awesome), and the Jefferson circuit (sucks) on my bikes, but never in the cars. Last time I was at Summit Point, Shenandoah was just about complete and about to open.

Any advice is appreciated....Summit Point is about a 4 hour drive for me, so it's a little bit out of the way.

Thanks,
MJB

My buddy and I spent a day on that track. He had his C6 and I had my Viper. There are 14 turns on this track. It has a little bit of everything.
I heard they took turns from tracks all over and combined them on this track.

It's very busy with blind apexes, off camber turns, and blind hills. It was very tough the first couple sessions. The coopers, mitata's and other small cars ate the track up. The Corvette and Viper seemed a little large for the track. Many say it is not good for larger cars.

After couple sessions it got much better.

I will do it again.

I say go and have fun.

More importantly Turbo Mike, if you don't drive your Vette like you drive you Viper you should be ok....just don't let them know you are coming.

Wait for it, wait for it....go to 1:55 on the clock for the excitement.

Well, you can just forget about me helping you with your exhaust!!!

Maybe I'll even tell your wife that it IS, in fact, going to make the car louder!

Better get the dog house cleaned up, because that's where you'll be sleeping....

I have run Summit Shenandoah 5 times and really enjoy the track. It is a very technical driver's track. Absolute horsepower will not do you much good. The caroussell turn is tough on front air dams for the C-5 Vettes. I ground about 1/2 inch off my right piece the first run session at the track. If your car is lowered, you will need to remove the right hand side before running or take the top flat route around the highly banked turn. Come on out - you will enjoy it !!
