Default C4 guys with hitches-

How did yuo wire up your trailer lights? On my C5, I pulled the taillights out and spliced into the harness. The C4 makes this a little more complicated as the taillights are just removable lenses- the reflector stays in place. I could't see an easy way to attack it from under the car as well.
So how did you folks wire up your lights?

I have an earlier C4, so it may be a liitle different, but I was able to tap into the taillight wires by working though to opening where you take the rear license plate off. I think the harness ran right above it, if I remember right.
