speeeds are kinda high to do that ... c5 has plenty of punch to get up and go in third.. two things i do different ,, but i dont race. 1 i shift into 4th as the car is "upset " under the bridge. i seem to get a smoother drive down the hill,, and i use the exit curbing out of the esses all the way to the access road cliping the dirt.. but i dont have people trying to pass on the inside.. racing is completely different than hpde.......

I think Adam is correct. He does have a little <koff koff - World Challange - Koff> experience.

The MN12 trans is tough choice, 2nd may be a bit too low, yet one can hear Jody's engine rpms drop. But then again down shifting would give a better punch but the two shifts, down to 2nd and up to 3rd looses 1/4sec each shift, so there may not be any advantage.

Good Drive Jody. Patients is very important. Too easy to attempt to dive bomb slower cars into corners, when it is not really safe to do so.

If anything, stay in 3 through T10, but definitely drop to 2nd in T8.

Dive bomb? DIVE BOMB? Did someone mention Kevin H??? He is the KING of Dive Bombing at RA as evidenced by the PO'd BMW drivers at the next morning Instructor's meeting.....
